Muhurat Trading 2025
Muhurat trading is a special trading session conducted on the Indian stock exchanges during the festival of Diwali to mark the beginning of the traditional Hindu accounting year, known as Samvat. It typically lasts for about an hour and is considered auspicious for making investments. Many traders and investors, especially retail participants, believe that trading during this time brings prosperity and wealth. The practice combines cultural tradition with financial activity, as market participants often make token investments during this session to symbolize growth and success for the upcoming year. Both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) participate in this ritual.
